Inside SRA’s hands-on approach to recovery and progression
At SRA Ltd, we believe that recovery is more than therapy, it’s about purpose, connection, and opportunity. That’s why our trauma-informed programme includes real-world experience through three inclusive social enterprises: catering, cleaning, and printing.
Catering - Southside Caterers
In our kitchen, Service Users learn food hygiene, meal prep, and customer service. Preparing our free lunches for all our participants, builds confidence, teamwork, and transferable skills for hospitality and retail.
Cleaning - Southside Sweepers
Our professional cleaning team works across community venues and offices. Service Users gain experience in health and safety, time management, and communication, skills that support progression into facilities, care, or self-employment.
Printing - Southside Print & Copyshop
From digital design to finishing techniques, The Copyshop offers hands-on training in a customer-facing environment. Trainees develop attention to detail, IT literacy, and confidence in dealing with the public.
Why It Works
Social enterprise gives people a chance to contribute meaningfully, learn by doing, and see the impact of their work. It’s structured, supportive, and flexible, allowing individuals to progress at their own pace while preparing for volunteering, education, or employment.
